'Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring'.
Striking red lips, maddeningly beautiful curly blonde hair, the iconic beauty spot, a contagious smile, loads of attitude, these phrases add upto only one woman, Marilyn Monroe- the particular actress who is no longer present with us today, but whose influence is still felt in all spheres of beauty and fashion. Her sense of style, simple yet rebellious, made everyone envious, Even as a model, Marilyn stuck to her curves and flaunted them like nobody's business, an admirable trait that definitely needs to be seen more in today's day and age. That in fact is the most stunning thing about her, her confidence, which I am going to try to portray in every picture in this 4 part series!
The first look screams bold to me (and I hope it does to you too!) and it definitely defines the former beauty queen. Crop tops, cleavage and stockings were all part of her essentials, however you could say that the ripped denim skirt is my own modern twist (since I quite doubt that torn clothes were a 'trend' in her days). I do personally think that if Marilyn were present here today she would totally be loving the trend too.
It has been a while since I last posted, and it’s been truly difficult to come up with a narrative for this particular article. So let me know if you liked it and do come back for more posts on this series xx
