From mine to yours, Happy New Year everyone! Starting off 2020 on the 'right note' encompasses different things for us all. Be it hitting the gym on Jan 1st (or failing to do so), starting a healthy morning routine, detoxing from social media or simply taking time out to appreciate everything to be grateful for; there's a certain sense of anticipation in the air that fills us with a hit-the-ground-running kinda attitude.
It's also the the start of a new decade, so why not adopt some snazzy style resolutions to get you through the ongoing dreaded winter days. Bid adieu to pyjamas and that one sweater you resort to pretty much all day every day, welcome 2020 with some new ideas to take your black dominated winter wardrobe from drab to fab >>
- Invest in fun and bright coloured outerwear, and repeat after me - steer clear from everything and anything black. In a sea of uninteresting black coats, playful hues not only brighten up these dull days but give you something to look forward to when dressing up.
- Dig out those groovy scarves and gloves, the bigger the patterns the better. Florals, animal print, checks, tartan - take your pick, it doesn't even matter as long as it looks funky. Tip? Ask your grandma because she is sure to have some vintage ones that are loud but perfect.
- Focus on honing in what you really need, aka quality > quantity. Sure, it's a little more heavy on the pockets, but that's far better than crazy impulse purchases that are thrown at the back of your closet. This pink Ted Baker number featured here is a statement piece and probably not everyone's cup of tea but it's beautiful inner lining and amazing quality will last for not only this decade, but more to come.
Any fashion resolutions you will be attempting to stick to? Looking forward to hearing them x
Stay tuned for all the exciting content coming your way in 2020.
